1 SCOPE
These specifications define requirements for high performance golf stakes. This device marks the fairways for yardage markers, out of bound markers, hazard markers, and tee markers. These stakes provide better visibility, low maintenance, cost effectiveness, easy installation, and reduces liability for the golf courses.
2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1 DESIGN
The golf stake shall incorporate a flexible vertical tube and cap with a bottom anchor system. The stake shall be capable of easy installation.
2.2 MATERIAL
The above golf stake shall be UV stabilized, color-impregnated co-polymer for long life expectancy.
2.3 WORKMANSHIP
The stake shall exhibit excellent workmanship and shall be free from burns, discoloration, contamination, and other objectionable marks or defects that affect appearance or serviceability.
2.4 INSTALLATION
The installation shall consist of either a drill bit or cold chisel.
3 PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1 DIMENSIONS
The stake shall be round and conform to the dimensions shown in the drawings below.
3.1.1 Width
The stake shall have a minimum cylindrical diameter of one inch.
3.1.2 Height
The above ground height shall be 18", 24", 36", and 48".
3.1.3 Anchor
The anchor base shall not exceed nine (9) inches in length.
3.2 COLOR
The color of the post shall be red, white, blue, green, or yellow as dictated by The PGA guide lines for the particular application.
3.3 IMPACT RESISTANCE
The post shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. The stake shall be capable of withstanding multiple hits from golfers.
